Bảo hiểm Generali Việt Nam thay CEO Generali Vietnam appoints New CEO

Tina Nguyen took over the CEO position from Mr. Chung Ba Phuong, who has moved to Hong Kong to take the position of General Manager for Generali’s businesses in Hong Kong.

Generali Vietnam Life Insurance Co., Ltd. is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Thanh (Tina Nguyen) as its new Chief Executive Officer. Tina Nguyen took over the CEO position from Mr. Chung Ba Phuong, who has moved to Hong Kong to take theposition of General Manager for Generali’s businesses in Hong Kong (China).

New CEO of Generali Vietnam said that: “Vietnam presents tremendous growth potential as an emerging economy and I am  excited about taking the business forward and enhance the quality and range of products and service offerings to our customers. Generali is a relatively new brand in Vietnam, but I believe that with focus on being simpler, smarter and customer centric, Generali will continue to differentiate itself and become the choice brand for customers”.Before joining Generali Vietnam, Tina Nguyen held various senior leadership roles in a leading foreign owned life insurance company in Vietnam. Tina possesses over 20 years of international experience in the financial and life insurance sector in North America (USA, Canada) and in Asia (Hong Kong, Vietnam). Tina started her career at Ernst & Young and holds a US Certified Public Accountant (CPA).

After five years in operation, Generali Vietnam currently serves over 80,000 customers and insured members of over 500 Vietnamese and foreign owned companies. It is one of the enterprises with highest revenue growth in Vietnam life insurance market in the past few years. To maintain the sharp growth, Generali Vietnam increased its chartered capital to 1.962,6 billion VND and became one of the companies owning the highest chartered capital on the market.

Total premiums of Generali Vietnam gained more than 768 billion VND, a more than threefold increase if compared in 2014. Generali Vietnam is one of the members of Generali Group. It is known as one of the largest global insurance providers with 2015 total premium income of more than € 74 billion. With 80,000 employees worldwide serving over 72 million insured persons in more than 60 countries, the Group occupies a leadership position on West European markets and an increasingly important place on markets in Central Eastern Europe and Asia. Vietnam is one of the priority markets of Generali Group in Asia.
